CUAAHK is proudly presenting a member-exclusive guided tour at the beautiful and historical site of the Asia Society Hong Kong Center. The tour consists of two parts:

• Part I - a brief tour of the Asia Society venue, which is a 1.3 hectares site, housing 4 former British military buildings, which were built by the British Army in the mid-19th century for explosives and ammunition production and storage. Through conservation, restoration and adaptive reuse, the heritage site has been transformed into a cultural and intellectual hub. 
• Part II - a guided tour of a special exhibition, featuring mater oil painter Pang Jiun. Born in 1936 into an artistic family in Shanghai, Pang Jiun is praised as a master of "Eastern Expressionism”.  One of his recent works was auctioned at Christie’s for HKD 5,000,000 in 2020 (link).  This special exhibition at Asia Society showcases 48 artworks in total by the artist, which includes 9 precious sketches created in the 1970s and 39 paintings created in recent years.

Date & Time: Saturday, 20 January, 2024, 11:00 am

• Please arrive at the venue no later than 10:50 am and the tour will start promptly at 11:00 am. Late arrivals may not be accommodated.
• The guided tour will be conducted in English and will last about 1-1.5 hours. After the tour, the attendees could walk around the venue on their own.
